Mary Bodede is a Senior Corporate Counsel at Sunny Side Eco Hub, providing strategic legal counsel across corporate governance, regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, risk management and international expansion.

With over 19 years of legal experience, Mary brings extensive expertise in helping organisations navigate complex legal and commercial environments while protecting their interests and supporting sustainable business growth.

At Sunny Side Eco Hub, Mary advises on corporate and commercial matters, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, intellectual property protection and cross-border expansion, supporting the organisation as it develops partnerships and scales its operations across new markets.

Her core areas of expertise include commercial contracting, where she negotiates and advises on high-value enterprise and vendor agreements; regulatory compliance, including data privacy, employment regulations and cross-border trade considerations; and risk management, where she focuses on proactively addressing disputes and protecting company assets and reputation.

Prior to joining Sunny Side Eco Hub, Mary worked as a litigator and corporate associate in Nigeria, representing banks, insurance companies and stockbroking firms in significant and complex matters, including cases relating to the 2009–2011 stock market crisis, subsequent corporate restructuring, land matters and family disputes.

Mary holds an LL.B from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) qualification from the Nigerian Law School. She is professionally affiliated with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), and has undertaken leadership-focused programmes with organisations including LEAP Africa.
